Here are the New Volvo Trim Levels

For 2023, Volvo is replacing its Momentum, Inscription, and R-Design trim levels with three new ones that mix and match elements of the previous trims in order to create different combinations that will appeal to more drivers.

The Core

At the base of almost every new Volvo vehicle is the Core model, which serves as the new entry-level offering. In most Volvo models, this trim level replaces the Momentum package but it also takes some styling ideas from the former Inscription model. This is why the Core version of most new Volvo models benefits from the elegant and traditional style that was achieved by the Inscription model previously. This means that this version adopts more traditional lines and more chrome accents than other trim levels. Inside, the Core model offers a high level of standard equipment that includes all of the most popular features in premium vehicles in 2023.

The Plus

For drivers who want even more standard features and access to a greater number of available ones, the Plus model adds a large number of luxury, safety, and convenience features. In addition to the additional luxury, the Plus version of many models offers two themes to choose from depending on the driver’s preferences in terms of appearance. The Bright theme is standard and it essentially keeps the same exterior elements as the Core model while the Dark theme offered at no extra cost gives new Volvo vehicles a sportier appearance inspired by the former R-Design model by replacing the chrome accents with black elements and making way for more aggressive bumper and grille styling.

The Ultimate

Unsurprisingly, the Ultimate trim level is the new top-of-the-line version of new Volvo vehicles, thus replacing the Inscription model. Unlike this former trim level, however, the Ultimate is also available with the Dark exterior theme, which makes it so that a sportier appearance can be combined with almost every luxury feature found in the Volvo catalogue, which is something that couldn’t be done previously.
