A look at the new Volvo C40 Recharge

The New Volvo C40 Recharge is the first entirely electric vehicle from the brand as well as its first coupe-like SUV. Here is a tour of its most distinctive features.

A style all its own

The 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge benefits from an external appearance that is like none other due to its sporty, low roofline and its selection of vibrant paint colours. This gives the C40 Recharge a youthful look that stands out from its competition. The raked roofline also gives the C40 a lower coefficient of drag, which improves its range and its performance. Another distinctive feature is the LED taillamps, which make the C40 instantly recognizable as a Volvo while also being very modern. They are notably the first Volvo taillamps to incorporate a dynamic turn signal, which sweeps towards the direction of the turn instead of simply blinking.

 An advanced electric powertrain

The 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge is powered by a very modern electric drivetrain that is composed of two electric motors working in tandem to provide impressive performances, as evidenced by a 4,7 second 0 to 100 km/h acceleration test, and a high level of efficiency. This translates into a range of up to 364 kilometers on a full charge and a short charging time of only 33 minutes to bring the battery from 10% to 80%.

Google connectivity built-in

The 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge makes use of the new infotainment system developed by Google which includes the Google Assistant that can be controlled by voice with natural speech commands. This also makes it possible to control Google home devices from the vehicle, or inversely, to control the vehicle from a Google home device. In addition, this infotainment system uses Google maps to display the latest maps and an operation of the navigation system that is familiar to most people.
